If you have flowers, don't throw them away! You can use them to make potpourri! Mother's Day is approaching in May and you will surely have many flowers that instead of throwing away, you can use for this project.

Potpourri is a mixture of dried flowers or plants that are used to decorate or flavor closed spaces. You can use it in bathrooms, living rooms, kitchens and even in clothing drawers.

The best of all is that it is natural and thus you avoid the toxic chemicals of artificial flavorings that you usually find on the market such as: candles, aerosols, devices with liquids that you connect to the outlet. The latter especially contain environmental contaminants and PHTHALATES which are what the labels call "FRAGRANCE" and in addition to being irritating and exacerbating allergies, this chemical is considered TOXIC especially in children and babies. Increases the risk of asthma by 50%.

Steps to make medley:

1. Remove the petals from the flowers and place them spread out on a tray.
2. Turn the oven on to 200ºC
3. Leave them for 20-30 minutes until dry.
4. When they are cool, remove them from the tray. Place them in a glass jar or organza covers.

Decorate to your liking! You can fill glass containers, place them in the living room, bathroom or drawers to scent your clothes. Change them from time to time so that you maintain the aroma. You can enhance its smell by adding a couple of drops of essential oils such as rose, geranium, jasmine, etc.
